Essie

Essie is a serious typeface created for editorial needs. It features subtle sharpness which gives it personality and spike. It’s proportions are vaguely reminiscent of grotesque forms mixed with translation contrast giving it more dynamics. Family containes serif text style with italic, bold for emphasis and the finishing touches are more refined display cuts which excel in bigger sizes showing off unusual, yet subtle forms.

Magdalena Wiśniewska (PL)

Magdalena Wiśniewska (born 1987, Poland) graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław with a master’s in Graphic Design. Finding her passion for type during her CEEPUS exchange in Prague, she went on to study type design at the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague, graduating in 2017.
